For sale is a set of 4 x 18th-century Germany Meissen Porcelain 9.5'' rimmed bowls. Decorated with a hand-painted flowers with a relief floral pattern, and a scalloped gilt rim. Each plate is painted with a different central flower bouquet and smaller flowers on the borders. Extremely rare and Collectible. All are in 1st quality! The set includes:
- 1 x bowl is from Meissen Academic period (1763-1774). The base with a Crossed-Swords Mark with a dot between the Hilts, for the Meissen Porcelain Factory of the Academic Period;
- 2 x bowls from Meissen Marcolini (1774-1815) marked with blue with crossed swords and star between the pommels. Meissen Marcolini is known for producing a variety of porcelain pieces, including bowls and plates, during his tenure as director of the Meissen porcelain factory. Some of his most notable plates feature flower motifs, which were a popular design element during the late 18th and early 19th centuries. These plates were often decorated with intricate and detailed floral designs, and were made using high-quality porcelain. They were highly sought after by collectors and are still considered to be some of the finest examples of Meissen porcelain from the Marcolini period. They are considered as a good investment and can be found in many museums and private collections around the world
- 1 x bowl is from the period of 1725 - 1763
Except for the crossed swords mark, each bowl has an impressed number on the base.
Size: 9.5.'' diameter x 1 1/2 '' deep
Condition: excellent. 3 bowls have minor wear to the jilt and signs of use consistent with age, 1 bowl has moderate wear to the gilt and hairline crack to the base. The crack is very thin and light, which does not affect the display or collection.
