1830s 4 x KPM Berlin Rococo style bowls, flower painting and gilding rim, rare

A magnificent set of 4 shallow bowls by KPM Berlin in German between 1830-1845. Rococo style. The bowls feature flower painting and ornamental gilding. The diameter of the plate is 29 cm/ 11.5 inches

KPM porcelain in Rococo (Early to Mid-18th Century) style
Rococo's name is derived from the French word "rocaille," meaning "shell" or "rock." The Rococo aesthetic first became popular in France during the early to mid-18th century, during which there was a push toward asymmetrical, free-flowing designs. Frederick II was a great admirer of the style and commissioned many KPM works for the purpose of displaying them in his palace. In particular, he required KPM artists to make dinner sets matching his extravagant interiors, and he also gave dinner sets as diplomatic gifts.

Condition: This set is in excellent condition, with no chips, repairs, or cracks. The color is vibrant and the gold is intact! Only Very light scratch and minor rubbing to the gilt consistent with the age.
